FOUR DAYS LATER AND we are landing in New York, when Tiao said about going big, I didn’t think he meant America big, but here we are! I go to the studio tomorrow morning and do my interview on Oprah to be aired the next day, then my agent has booked me in for a shoot in the afternoon. We all pile into the hotel suite and we all just drag ourselves to bed, it's late, we are all tired and I have to be up before the sun in the morning. I curl against Trip's side and rest my head on his chest.

"Are you ok with all of this; we can cancel if you decide not to do it.”

"No, I want to do this, I am through with letting him win, I don’t want all of this hanging over me. Anyway, everything else has been done, the police statement, the insurance company, this is the last step and I am finishing this!”

"Good.” I feel his smile as he kisses my head. “Go to sleep, tomorrows going to be a long day.” I lay there for ages trying to fall asleep, I hear Trip’s breathing even out and I lay staring at the ceiling, I am fucking nervous! National American TV, that’s going to end up worldwide, especially if Tiao has anything to do with it. Eventually I drift to sleep and thankfully a deep one.

"Turn it off!" I groan from under the pillow as Trip's alarm on his phone makes some ear-piercing sound.

"Get up and I'll turn it off, you have no time for snoozes today.” I roll out of bed and land on my feet my eyes still shut, Trip chuckles and turns off the alarm. I crack open one eye and I am relieved when the room is still dark. I walk like a zombie to the bathroom and start getting ready. After I have showered and brushed my teeth, I walk back into the bedroom wrapped in a fluffy towel, I grab my clothes and put them on the end of the bed. Trip is sitting with his back against the headboard with a coffee and I join him. He passes me my own coffee and I blow on the steaming cup before taking a sip,

"Are you ready for today?” Trip asks and I shrug,

"I am ready to tell the story, but I don’t think I am ready for the whole being on TV thing, I am only just becoming ok with seeing my face everywhere, being a model is still so new and I have no idea how to be famous, I don’t know if I want to be famous at all.”

"Babe, you're doing great, and you would have been famous either way, you’re my girlfriend, it comes with the territory but at least now it's for your own achievements not mine.”

"That’s something else we need to talk about, you keep calling me your girlfriend, and telling everyone I am, but I never heard you ask me, and I certainly didn’t ask you.
